Respective Fandoms: uh, Democrats? and, well, Fullmetal Alchemist.

Plot/Theme/Details: BARACILLY ROMANCE LIKE IT'S GOING OUT OF STYLE. And, yeah, them in Central or something I guess.

"My fault? How is it my fault?"
"You just had to invite that ancient blond scientist keynote speaker to the convention- with his "invention", didn't you...oh, don't tell me, this is payback- isn't it?"
"What are you talking about?"
"It depends on how you define "payback", is that it?"

"I'm sorry, it was wrong of me to mention it."
"You don't have a lot of experience in tact, do you? Don't worry about it, it's not like any of our constituents can hear or see us."
In the middle of the Central square, all activity had halted to a stop when the two people had appeared out of no where.
"They can't, but what about these people?"
"...I don't think we're in the country or our world."
"In that case..." He looked at her with a questioning look.
"In that case..." She looked up at him.
Activity failed to resume for another minute in Central square as the two foreigners suddenly embraced in a passionate lip lock.
Later...
"I admit I may have erred in inviting him, but I think that the blame partly lies on your shoulders."
"How so?"
"Do you recall what you said before the flash of blue light and then we found ourselves here?"
"No, all I can remember was the maniac laughing and the explosion."
"You said, and I quote, 'I guess old age makes us lose a few inches. She's even taller than you.'"
"My fault? How is it my fault?"
